Meri Ruble is a teaching artist specializing in early childhood and elementary visual art education.  Since 2006, Ms. Ruble has worked as an artist-in-residence with a variety of nonprofit organizations in partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District grade schools and community-based programs, and has maintained long-term working relationships with Art House Inc. (AH) and Broadway School of Music and the Arts (BSMA). She has also taught with BayArts, Beck Center for the Arts, and Orange Art Center. Ms. Ruble additionally serves as a part time Environmental Educator at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes as a means to explore her other passion, the outdoors.  She holds a BA in Fine Arts, with a Studio Art concentration and Art Education minor from Kent State University. Her personal practice examines the spatial relationships between nature and memory, the intersection of art and the natural world, and personal topics including grief. Ms. Ruble finds inspiration in textile, metal embossing, watercolor, and printmaking. Her mixed-media pieces meld disparate materials to share a narrative. In 2025, Meri Ruble became a grantee of Assembly for the Arts Boost Fund.
